The classic chest-high wader reaches under the armpits. But not all fly fishermen fish waters where you have to wade so deep that you need such a high-cut model. Waist waders are much more comfortable to wear due to their shorter cut and are therefore becoming more and more popular.
The ALPINE DIVER V3 waist waders are just as comfortable as your normal everyday trousers but are completely waterproof and keep you also dry on the inside thanks to their excellent breathability, even when you are moving around a lot. These waist waders are definitely the best choice for keeping you cool and breezy while fishing, especially in summer. In particular on waters where you don't have to wade too deep. Waist waders are also used in professional environments - for example, by fishing guides and fish wardens. They spend a lot of time on the water, but rarely need to wade through deep spots.

FIND THE SIZE THAT FITS YOU MOST!
The following size chart will help you find the right size of waders based on your body measurements. By maximum circumference we mean the largest body circumference (which can be around the waist or hips, depending on your stature). The measurements given in the table refer to the body measurements and NOT to those of the waders.
This chart is primarily a guide to help you find the right size. The fit of fishing clothing depends not only on your body measurements, but also on your preferences. Some people prefer to wear their clothes close-fitting, while others prefer a looser fit.

ABSOLUTELY WATERPROOF AND HIGHLY BREATHABLE
As with all other waders from Hotfly Superb, the ALPINE DIVER V3 waist waders are made using the innovative method of joining the cut pieces by means of welding. The fabric parts are welded together under pressure and heat using a patented process. The advantage is obvious - the fabric is not perforated a thousand times as with a classic seam, and the service life of the waders is significantly increased!

The fabric for the production of these waist waders comes from Japanese premium production. The 5-layer microfibre fabric has outstanding technical properties and key figures:
- Waterproof > 30,000 mm water column
- Breathability > 5,000 g/m²/24 hours
- Weight: approx. 310 g/m²
- High abrasion and tear resistance
With these values, the ALPINE DIVER V3 can easily compete with the best waders on the market and surpasses many other high-priced products.
ERGONOMIC CUTS FOR MORE COMFORT AND DURABILITY
Compared to the previous models, the cut pattern of the current version has been slightly improved. On the one hand, this has increased the wearing comfort and thus also the freedom of movement, especially in the area of the pelvis and hips. On the other hand, a reduction in the number of bonds, which have also been relocated to areas that are not subject to too much stress, also increases the service life of a pair of waders. The cut height of the ALPINE DIVER V3 has been retained. They still reach to the waist and keep you reliably dry in the buttocks area, even when you squat down.
The individual sizes have been slightly revised. Nevertheless, the sizes given are based on the European standard. This means that the ALPINE DIVER V3 are not too wide and have a sufficiently high crotch to follow all your movements, even when climbing along the shore or over large rocks. Moreover, new additional sizes have been introduced so that there should now be a waist wader to suit almost any stature.
Several improvements have been made to the neoprene socks and the gravel guards. The 4mm neoprene material for the socks has been retained. However, this is now even better protected against abrasion and wear by a more robust cover. A non-slip rubber coating in a honeycomb pattern has been applied to the sole of the socks. On the one hand, this increases the durability of the sole. On the other hand, the rubber coating also makes the neoprene socks slip and rub less in the wading boots, which minimises wear and tear. The cut of the neoprene socks has also been made a little more ergonomic. The bonds, which have been reduced in number and length, have been placed wherever possible in areas that are not subject to excessive stress, so that they are better protected. Of course, all the bonds of these waist waders have been additionally secured with abrasion-resistant bond tape.
The neoprene gravel guards are now also better protected by the more robust cover material. They are also easier to pull over the wading shoes. The lower hem of the gravel guards is now sewn with a protective tape for additional protection against premature wear.
FLEXIBLE SHOULDER STRAP SYSTEM
The removable shoulder strap system of the ALPINE DIVER V3 waist waders has also been further improved. The fasteners, which are permanently attached to the waist waders, can be opened with one hand by press them together. The strap loop can thus be hooked and unhooked quickly and easily. This makes it fast to remove the straps completely and effortlessly to reattach them to the waist waders.

The straps themselves are elastic and can be adjusted in length over a wide range. The connecting piece on the back is also adjustable in height. This way you can adjust the optimal position of the straps individually, so that they rest comfortably in the middle of the shoulder without sliding down the sides or chafing the neck.
In addition to the shoulder straps, the waist waders also have a wide and elastic wading belt with a large and robust click closure that keeps your waders in place even when you use them without the shoulder straps. In addition, the upper waistband is elasticated at the sides so that it adapts perfectly to your stature and follows your movements. This not only provides more comfort, but also contributes to safety. Because with well-fitting waist waders, less water will get in if you accidentally slip on the water or take a step in water that is too deep.
INTEGRATED PROTECTION IN THE KNEE AREA
An integrated foam pad in the knee area of the ALPINE DIVER V3 waist waders makes kneeling down much more comfortable. Whenever you want to approach shy fish in very visible conditions and clear water, in order to present the fly optimally, you cannot avoid making your silhouette very small. The foam pad is located in a specially designed inner pocket, can also be removed, is generously dimensioned and thus reliably protects the entire knee area.

Even if you are tempted to kneel down more often in the future because of the comfortable knee pad and don't even notice if the ground is rough or even sharp-edged thanks to its cushioning properties, you should still pay attention to your waist waders. The very tightly woven and therefore robust fabric is explicitly chosen to make the waders particularly hard-wearing. However, the fabric is not indestructible.
ESSENTIAL ACCESSORIES SAFELY STOWED AWAY
Although a waist wader has to do without breast pockets due to its shape, the ALPINE DIVER V3 waist waders still offer you possibilities for stowing essential accessories. At the front, there are two generous cut outer pockets with water-repellent YKK zips - so you can carry valuables, car keys, etc. and keep them safe from splashes.
