With the MAGPRO line clipper, Hotfly offers an accessory of the highest quality and with practically eternal durability. The steel blades are interchangeable and can be replaced opening the four Torx bolts. When closed, the blades match with pinpoint accuracy and make a quick, clean cut on nylon and fluorocarbon of any thickness.

Inside, on one side, there is a small needle tip, which enters a small hole on the opposite side, when the line clipper gets closed. This accessory serves to free the hook eyelet of any fly-tying glue or dirt, so that the nylon or fluorocarbon can then be easily inserted, and the fly tied on.

To keep the line clipper open, an ingenious and innovative method has been devised. In fact, instead of mounting a spring between the two parts of the tool or simply exploiting the elasticity of the metal, four magnets with equal poles have been applied which generate a repulsion effect, effectively holding the line clipper open. In this way, there is nothing to break or damage, even after years of intensive use.

Inserted on the hinge, you will find a small metal eyelet that is free to move. This allows you to easily attach the line clipper to your fly-fishing vest, making it always at hand and very easy as well as comfortable to use. The width of the eyelet hole is quite generous, allowing you to connect it to all clips, pin-on-zinger, retractors that are nowadays on the market.

The roughened coating in addition to the 3 V-shaped grooves on each side as well as the finger bulges on the front side give you a good grip and makes it very comfortable to use.
