Wading jacket hotfly superb ALPINE DIVER X-LIGHT

You can rely on the ALPINE DIVER X-LIGHT wading jacket from Hotfly - in any weather and in any situation. Thanks to the innovative three-layer high-performance fabric, it has outstanding technical properties that speak for themselves. The material used has an enormous breathability of over 30,000 gr/m²/24h, so that vapour from sweat and condensation is optimally released to the outside and you stay absolutely dry despite movement and activity on the water.

A DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating and a very durable and long-lasting PU lamination ensure that this wading jacket is absolutely waterproof. The membrane withstands a water column of more than 15,000 mm, so that the ALPINE DIVER X-LIGHT wading jacket remains fully durable and usable even in pouring rain and keeps you absolutely dry during all your activities. In addition, all seams are appropriately sealed with tape on the inside. The seams have been reinforced in particularly stressed areas.

If you're expecting a rigid, chunky jacket made of a stiff fabric to achieve this excellent weather protection, you'll be surprised at how light and supple the 100% polyester fabric feels. The feather-light jacket weighs just 510 grams in size S, and the soft fabric makes it extremely comfortable to wear. Thanks to the slightly stretchy fabric, the ALPINE DIVER X-LIGHT wading jacket can be worn on its own at higher temperatures, but also fits perfectly over a warming midlayer in cold weather conditions.

The cut of this wading jacket is designed for maximum mobility and offers you the greatest possible freedom in the area of the shoulders and arms, so that it does not restrict you in any way when casting. The sizes of the ALPINE DIVER X-LIGHT wading jacket are based on the European fits, all pockets have been placed comparatively high to allow for deep wading, while the jacket itself is not cut too short, so that it not only keeps you dry in combination with waders. The lower hem of the wading jacket can also be tightened with the help of a circumferential drawstring. The AquaGuard zips from YKK used in this jacket are water-repellent, and the front zip also has a full-length underlap. The easy-grip zip tags on all zips ensure good and easy opening and closing, even with clammy fingers or gloves.

FRONT SIDE

In the chest area, the ALPINE DIVER X-LIGHT wading jacket has a total of 6 pockets. On each side, there is a large-format bellow pocket with generously sized Velcro flap, which protect the contents from splashing water and rain showers. These enormously spacious breast pockets can easily accommodate large fly boxes up to A5 format. On top of these large pockets, on both sides you will find a further flat pocket of approximately the same size with a vertically attached, water-repellent zip. These pockets are not only ideal for flat fly-fishing accessories such as spools, small fly boxes or fishing licences, but also for safely storing your mobile phone.

On the lower part of each chest pocket is a tool tab for attaching line clippers, leader dispensers or similar accessories. Directly under the pockets you will find a small D-ring on each side for quick and easy attachment of other accessories.

Above the left breast pockets, the loop side of a Velcro is sewn on, to which you can attach various accessories such as a fly pad. Of course, it can also be used to hang the flies directly to dry.

Not visible at first glance are the openings of the pockets on the side of the large breast pockets for warming your hands, that are lined with cosy fleece. A clever detail of these two pockets is the positioning of the opening, which is large enough even for decent-sized men's hands but does not run all the way to the bottom edge of the pocket. This makes it very easy to carry various utensils in these pockets without the risk of constantly losing them.

Furthermore, the cuffs are neoprene seamed and have a widely adjustable Velcro strap, so that they can be adjusted perfectly to any wrist and form a very good closure so that no dripping water runs into the sleeve. The cuff can be closed so well that even if the sleeve is dipped in for a short time, it will not fill up. It is important that the cuff closes directly on the skin and that your watch, bracelet, or the fabric of your underwear does not form a moisture bridge through which water is drained inside.

BACK SIDE

Another highlight of the ALPINE DIVER X-LIGHT wading jacket is the generously cut storm hood, which can be adjusted perfectly on both sides as well as at the back of the head with the help of drawstrings, so that it closes snugly and follows all the movements of the head and face without slipping. The integrated shield further protects the eye area. When not in use, the hood can be rolled up and stored in the collar. The collar itself is lined with soft fleece on the inside, as is the chin guard of the front zip. There is also a robust and generously dimensioned hanging loop on the inside in the area of the collar, from which you can both hang the filled jacket and carry it very well without the contents of the pockets falling out.

On the back below the collar, a robust D-ring has been attached, largely concealed, which is primarily suitable for attaching the wading net.
