THE FLY LINE DISTANCE PLUS IS A CASTING WONDER

The fly line DISTANCE PLUS from Hotfly Superb is a real distance chaser. Especially for lakes and fishing ponds, but also on the coast this fly line is predestined. You can achieve extreme casting distances with it. This way you can fish much more water surface effectively and serve your flies where the fish are actually standing.

These long casting distances are made possible by the particularly designed WF profile of the belly. The taper is based on those special fly lines that are used in casting competitions. These fly lines are uncompromisingly trimmed for distance. And the DISTANCE PLUS also makes use of these properties.

This fly line optimally charges your fly rod during casting, even with a few empty casts. The colour-coded separation of the belly and the running line allows you to see very clearly when the entire belly of the fly line is in the air. With a final double haul, you can let the fly line shoot and you will be amazed at how far you can cast.

Special attention has also been paid to the texture of the surface of the DISTANCE PLUS fly line. This minimises the friction of the fly line on the guides of your fly rod. The casting energy is thus not lost, and the belly of the fly line can trace more running line. In addition, with less friction you achieve higher line speeds. This way the fly line rolls off perfectly and stretches the leader all the way to the tip. Even when you fish with several flies on long leaders, as is often the case when fly fishing in Stillwater.

The core of the fly line has only minimal stretch. As a result, you perceive fine bites much better, even at greater distances, and are much more effective when casting.

The DISTANCE PLUS fly line is available in line classes #6 and #7. In both line classes you will find a floating model (grey belly; clearly visible orange running line) as well as two models with different sink rates (blue belly: intermediate, 1.5 ips - black belly: sinking, 3 ips).
